Frequently Asked Questions - KleurFlow

The standard for modern CSS gradients

Everything you need to know about KleurFlow

Quick answers for designers, developers, and studio teams managing gradient workflows, licensing tiers, and export settings.

How does the Pro license work for multi-seat studios?

The KleurFlow Pro license supports up to five concurrent seats under a single workspace. Each seat requires a unique email verification, and license keys are automatically synchronized across your team dashboard. If you need to scale beyond five users, our Enterprise tier unlocks unlimited seats with SSO integration and dedicated Slack support. Billing cycles reset on the 15th of each month, and prorated adjustments apply within 48 hours of adding new seats.

Which export formats are supported, and do they include fallbacks?

KleurFlow exports to CSS variables, Tailwind config objects, SCSS maps, and JSON palettes. Every export includes automatic vendor prefixes for -webkit- and -moz- gradient syntax, plus legacy IE11 fallbacks when the Cross-Browser Compatibility toggle is enabled. SVG and PNG raster exports are limited to 4096x4096px at 300 DPI, and WebP exports are available for teams using the Asset Pipeline add-on.

How frequently are gradient engine updates released?

Major engine updates ship on the second Tuesday of every month, typically introducing new color space algorithms like OKLCH and P3, alongside performance optimizations. Hotfixes and security patches are deployed within 72 hours of identification. All updates are backward-compatible with projects created since v2.4.1, and you will receive a Slack notification or email digest when your workspace is ready to sync.

Can I transfer my project history to a new email address?

Yes. Navigate to Settings, Account, Merge Profiles, enter your new email, and follow the verification flow. Your entire gradient library, saved palettes, and version history will migrate within 10 minutes. Note that billing information and license entitlements remain tied to the original account until you explicitly reassign them via the Team Admin panel. If you encounter sync delays, contact support@kleurflow.design with your workspace ID.

What happens when my free trial expires?

Your free trial grants full access to the gradient engine, three custom palettes, and basic SVG exports for 14 days. Upon expiration, your account automatically downgrades to the Starter tier. You retain read-only access to all previously created gradients, but editing and exporting require an active subscription. No data is deleted, and you can reactivate full features at any time without losing your workspace structure.

Is there a public API for programmatic gradient generation?

The KleurFlow API v3 is available to Pro and Enterprise subscribers. It supports RESTful endpoints for palette generation, color distance calculations, and batch exports. Rate limits are set at 1,200 requests per hour for Pro and 10,000 for Enterprise. Documentation, Postman collections, and SDKs for Node.js and Python are hosted on our developer portal. API keys are scoped to specific workspaces to prevent cross-project data leakage.
